Characteristics of the course of study

Conceiving, creating and setting up a scenic space.
The three-year course in Scenography offers a 360 ° training starting from different elements such as colors, light and sound. The areas in which the study plan ranges are theater, cinema and television, but also the study and design of window displays, museums, concerts and events. The student will be able to move easily in the scenography sector thanks to the study of the history of the show, theater, music, costume, but also writing and video production.

Course Goals

Educational objective of the study course in Scenography is to ensure skills and knowledge destined to train professionals capable of devising a stage space for opera, prose and dance theater and for more contemporary scenic environments. The acquisition of a rigorous and effective stage design method will allow the graduate to have all the tools and basic technical notions necessary to deal with the design of a space for the show, but also of costumes and props. He will do so aware of his role and the specificity of his skills in relation to the other artistic and technical figures that revolve around the staging and with which he will necessarily have to collaborate. Furthermore, the acquisition of a critical analysis skills.

The graduate in scenography will be able to collaborate with directors, choreographers and artistic directors, proposing himself to theatrical and production institutions in the field of the show as an assistant or collaborator in the staff of the technical direction, as an aid to the set designers in the stages of construction of the scene in the laboratories or as an assistant machinist in the phases editing of the shows or as an assistant at the same ideational and planning phase of the show. The technical-conceptual method acquired during the scenography course will also allow graduates to deal with the same competence even in non-theatrical installations, finding outlets in the field of interior design, photographic and video sets, setting up of exhibitions, window dressing, stands, set-up of events, concerts.
